Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale Must-Have: - 36 months RN experience with at least 12 months in an ICU. - Proficiency in caring for 1-3 ICU patients, including those on ventilators. - Experience with bedside shift report during care transfers. - Proficient in reading telemetry strips. - Advanced skills in CRRT, advanced hemodynamics, and phlebotomy. - Experience with post-operative CABG care, impellas, balloon pumps, and Swan Ganz catheters. - Familiarity with neuro procedures, including EVDs and induced hypothermia. - BSN preferred. - Advanced certifications and TNCC certification preferred. Description: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with staff. Number of beds in the unit: 28, mixed ICU. Patient ratios: 1:2 and 1:3, accommodating PCU/med surge admissions. Unit staffing consists of RNs. Staff equipped with mobile phones and computer workstations on wheels. Documentation system utilized is Meditech. Scheduling requirements include three 12-hour shifts weekly, including every other weekend. Travelers will be the first to float, potentially to other departments for patient care. Patient experience emphasis includes bedside shift report for all patient handoffs. The facility is recognized for numerous specialized services and has received several awards and accreditations.
