Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: 2 years preferred License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required in hand at the time of submission. Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Ability to manage two ventilated patients with multiple drip titrations Description: ICU Night shift opportunities are available. 2 years of experience is preferred. First-time travelers are welcome. Every other weekend shifts are required. The patient population includes cardiac patients. Must have skills in managing two ventilated patients and multitasking with multiple drip titrations. Experience with the following skills is needed: Accessing and managing ports, Arterial line management, Assist with chest tube insertion/removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood product administration, Care of ventilated patients, Central line management, Chronic and acute renal failure, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Candidates should be familiar with managing patients in a surgical intensive care unit. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Additional procedures include open heart surgeries and hypothermia protocols.
