Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical ICU setting, with assignments based on acuity and nursing skills
• Operate and manage all ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors
• Assist with and support bedside procedures including central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis cath placements, cardioversions, and intubations
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Float to other units as needed per facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas - temporary licenses will not be accepted
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of MICU or MSICU experience
• No call requirements for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
• Familiarity with advanced ICU procedures performed at the bedside
