Travel Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) team in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This critical role involves providing high-acuity care to critically ill medical patients, including those with COVID-19, within a dynamic hospital environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex patient cases, utilizing advanced clinical skills, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN passionate about critical care to contribute their expertise in a challenging and rewarding setting, working 12-hour night shifts, three days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) or equivalent critical care setting.
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced critical care nursing skills, including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive drip titration.
- Proficiency in emergency response protocols and advanced life support.
- Strong assessment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced and high-stress environments.
- Competency in using Cerner EHR system.

- Hours: 1845 - 0715 (12-hour shifts)
- Days per Week: 3
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Assignment Dates: September 9, 2026 - December 12, 2026
- Holiday Requirements: Must work two (2) major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one (1) minor holiday (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve) during the assignment.

Licensing Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
