Travel Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Job Summary

Join a dedicated team as a Travel Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a prominent healthcare facility in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-level critical care to a diverse patient population within a dynamic hospital environment.

The 2nd South Station ICU specializes in managing critically ill patients requiring close monitoring, advanced interventions, and comprehensive nursing care. You will be instrumental in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

This is a 13-week contract assignment, working 12-hour day shifts, three days per week, providing consistent and impactful care to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
  • Monitor vital signs, interpret diagnostic tests, and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Manage ventilators, IV drips, and other life-sustaining equipment.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and recovery processes.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or a compact state license.
