Unit Information:
The unit has 10 beds with a dedicated staff.
Day Shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 1 unit secretary.
Night Shift consists of 1 charge nurse and 4 RNs.
Patient Ratios are 1:2-3.
Equipment includes GE bedside telemetry monitoring.
The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.
Typical hiring profile:
Candidates must possess the following skills, as those without may not be considered for the role.
Preferred skills include medical ICU experience and participation in the rapid response/code blue team.
Typical procedures performed in the unit may include assistance with rapid sequence induction and arterial or central line placement.
Slow/continuous dialysis via TABLO (SLED) is also performed.
The ideal candidate will be a team player and self-motivated.
Floating areas may include IMCU, NSICU, and MedSurg as needed.
Dress code requires navy scrubs.
Every other weekend commitment is required, with no on-call shifts.
