Job Title: RN Critical Care Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - EPIC experience is a must. - Knowledge required for CRRT, CABG, Stroke, and TNK. - Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday. - Must have experience in assisting with bedside procedures: intubation/extubation, central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tube insertion, thoracentesis, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), and cardioversions. - Experience managing patients on ventilators, Bipap/AVAPS, and other oxygen delivery methods. - Experience with multiple vasoactive medications. - Experience with patients undergoing general surgical procedures, stroke/neuro procedures including craniectomy, hemicraniectomy, spinal surgeries, cath lab interventions, and interventional radiology procedures. - Experience managing sepsis, GI Bleed, COPD, CHF, and DKA patients. - Ability to interpret invasive hemodynamic values (CO/CI/SVV/CVP/SvO2). Description: This is a 30-bed ICU unit. We are a comprehensive stroke center. The role involves working every other weekend and holiday. Floating is an expectation of this position. There may be low census in the ICU. No requests for time off will be accepted during holidays. Preferred experience includes open heart procedures such as CABG, valve surgeries, and AAA. Comprehensive stroke experience, including EVD, thrombectomy, and TNK, is preferred. Experience managing patients on assist devices such as IABP and Impella is also preferred. Experience with CRRT (Prisma) and prone positioning is desirable. Candidates should be proficient in the initiation and maintenance of paralytics, including TOF and BIS monitoring.
