Staffing includes a charge RN, a rapid response RN, and bedside RNs on day and night shifts. The patient-to-staff ratio is 1:2. Equipment used includes mechanical ventilators, CRRT, IABP, Impella, EKOS, and Meditech EMR. Typical procedures performed in this unit include intubation, bedside ECMO cannulation, chest tube insertion, bedside tracheostomy, and central line insertions. Candidates with experience in CV and Neuro ICU will be considered favorably. The ideal candidate is accountable for their actions. Floating to CVIMCU and IMCU may be required. The dress code is royal blue. Every other weekend shift is required, and agency staff are not placed on-call.
