Description:
The ICU unit has 16 beds.
Patient ratios are typically 2:1, occasionally 3:1.
Staffing includes Medical Technologists, with additional techs based on census.
Advanced equipment includes Impella, GE monitors, Temporary Pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, and Hemodynamic monitoring.
Documentation is managed through Meditech.
Work requirements include 36 hours weekly.
Staff may be required to float to different units as needed.
Patient experience is a priority in care delivery.
Advanced skills required on this unit include central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions.
The dress code requires scrubs of any color, with restrictions against denim, capris, or camo.
Unit-specific policies and guidelines are available upon request.
