Description:
The ICU unit has 16 beds and typically maintains patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 3:1.
Unit staffing includes medical technicians, with additional tech support based on patient census.
Equipment utilized on the unit includes Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Arctic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
The documentation system used is Meditech.
The unit has a floating policy where staff may float in rotation with core staffing.

Critical procedures performed on the unit include central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions.
All candidates should hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH.
The required uniform consists of scrubs in any color, avoiding denim, capris, and camo.
