Travel RN – ICU / CCU Facility Information

Facility: Medical City North Hills
Location: North Richland Hills, TX
Shift Type: Night Shift
Shift Time: Start Time: 07:00 PM End Time: 07:00 AM
Unit: ICU
Classification: RN – CCU/ICU

Assignment Details
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks

  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

  • Weekend Requirement: Rotating / every other weekend

  • Call: No

  • Experience Required: 2 years ICU experience

  • Overtime: Available

  • Shift: Not specified

  • Quantity: Not specified

  • Bill Rate: Not specified

Unit Overview
  • Acuity: Very high-acuity ICU

  • Patient Population/Services: ECMO, heart transplant, CABG, and other complex critical-care patients

  • Equipment: Various critical-care equipment

  • EMR: Meditech

Scheduling & Floating
  • Every other weekend

  • Overtime opportunities available

  • May float to other ICUs based on patient volume and acuity

  • On rare occasions, may float to PCU

Candidate Requirements Must Have
  • 2 years of ICU experience

  • BLS

  • ACLS
  • NIH Certification
  • Hemodynamic monitoring experience
  • CPR

  • Experience caring for ventilated patients

  • Post-CABG care experience

  • Active Texas RN License

    • Temporary licenses will not be accepted

Preferred
  • CVICU experience

  • Meditech experience

Typical Procedures / Clinical Skills
  • Hemodynamic monitoring

  • Ventilator management

  • Post-CABG care

  • ACLS/CPR

  • Management of high-acuity critical-care patients

  • Multiple procedures performed under the direction of intensivists

Patient Experience & Unit Expectations
  • Bedside shift report is required

  • Whiteboard must be updated regularly

  • Professional and respectful communication is expected

  • Rudeness is not tolerated
