Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit – Texas

Start Date: September 1, 2026

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12.5-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), rotating weekends, 36 guaranteed hours per week

Highlights:

  • 13-week assignment in a 14-bed ICU with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios
  • Critical care environment providing advanced vasopressor management and intensive interventions
  • EMR documentation using Meditech system with standard critical care equipment
  • Supportive unit staffing including dedicated PCAs and unit coordinators
  • Work alongside an experienced, cohesive team in a Hospital Safety Grade "A" facility
  • Minimal call requirements with no on-call obligations

Requirements:

  • Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing vasopressors and critical care patients
  • Meditech experience strongly preferred
  • Strong attendance record and professional reliability required
  • Willingness to float to other units as needed per facility policy
