The position requires the management of critically ill patients with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2. Experience with accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and care of ventilated patients is expected. Blood product administration and infection prevention practices are essential. The nurse will assist with chest tube insertion and removal and will manage central lines and PICC lines. Knowledge of ventilator management, continuous IV sedation, and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) is necessary. Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure is a critical responsibility. The role includes performing procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is vital for patient care. Candidates should have experience in caring for adult and geriatric populations. Applicants should have a strong background in acute care settings, preferably with travel experience.
