- Certs: AHA BLS, MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City)
- Must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date.

Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent inpatient Behavioral Health and Medical/Surgical nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma Institution in a metropolitan city with a diverse population
- Experience providing comprehensive care to patients with mood, anxiety, and other behavioral conditions in a variety of settings such as med/surg units
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients with acute psychiatric disorders, including mood disorders, psychosis, and substance use disorders in a locked behavioral health unit.
- Deliver direct patient care, including monitoring mental and physical status, provide suicide prevention, elopement precautions, administering medications, supporting therapeutic interventions, and maintaining patient and unit safety through continuous observation and adherence to security protocols.
