Oncology Infusion Nurse

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion Nurse to provide high-quality care in an ambulatory oncology setting. This role requires a strong background in infusion therapy and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

Administer chemotherapy and other infusions to patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Conduct thorough assessments and monitor patients' responses to treatments.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Document patient care activities and maintain accurate electronic medical records using EPIC.
Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and potential side effects.
Demonstrate competency in chemotherapy administration by passing the required competency test.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of infusion experience required.
Ambulatory oncology experience is highly preferred.
BLS certification is required; chemotherapy certification is not mandatory but must demonstrate competency in administration.

Shift Details

This position operates from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Dress Code

Scrubs must be blue.
