Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Infusion Duration: 21 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent RN adult clinical Oncology Nursing experience License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BSN, BLS, Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient Infusion experience administering chemotherapy/biotherapy within the last 3 years - Experience administering infusions, pain management, transfusion therapy, hydration, etc. Description: This position involves working a day shift with variable start times. The role requires 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period. The ability to float to other facilities may be necessary. References must be completed prior to submission. In addition to the required experience, three or more years of adult Oncology Nursing experience is preferred. Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) or other relevant specialty certification is also preferred. Membership in professional organizations is recommended. Skills required include: Infusion Center experience, Inpatient and Outpatient oncology, Administration of chemotherapy, Body fluid handling post-chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, Administration of coagulation factors, Antifungals and Antivirals, Administration of blood and blood products, Care and management of ports, Infusion pump management, Intravenous hydration and multivitamins, PICC line care, Starting and maintaining IVs, and Administration of antibiotics. Floating to different departments or facilities may occur during the assignment if job specifications are met. Experience in a teaching hospital is required. Modules are part of the onboarding process and can vary by unit or specialty. Travelers may have the option to start earlier than scheduled if clearance is obtained.
