Includes direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care in an acute patient setting. Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in the assigned area. Develops, implements, and coordinates a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family, and other healthcare providers. Communicates effectively and timely to promote an optimal patient experience. Adheres to policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations. Demonstrates general knowledge and competence in nursing theories, concepts, and practices. Possesses knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Maintains an understanding of healthcare industry regulations and safety policies. Exhibits effective written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly to diverse audiences. Demonstrates time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize patient care. Utilizes computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Works independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Engages patients and families in various stressful situations. Applies critical thinking to identify and solve routine and complex problems. Ensures the privacy of patients' protected health information. Builds collaborative relationships with healthcare providers to achieve objectives. Prioritizes assignments and meets deadlines while adhering to standardized policies. Responsible for managing and administering hazardous drugs according to safety guidelines.
