Job Title: Infusion RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Infusion Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Valid state license required Certifications: CRNI required; ONS/ONCC preferred Must-Have: - Oncology or Hematology experience is highly preferred. - Experience administering IV Therapy and chemotherapy. Description: This is an Infusion RN role for an experienced RN. The candidate will need to administer IV Therapy for patients with various diagnoses. Experience caring for chemotherapy patients with a wide range of cancer diagnoses is preferred. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. There may be rare instances when this RN will need to work overtime due to patient reactions or complexities during treatment. The RN must acknowledge this upon signing. Position primarily supports a non-chemotherapy patient population. The duties will include phlebotomy, various infusions (including iron infusions), injections, and port flushes. The work will primarily involve managing iron infusions. Occasional hydration treatments and rare genetic testing procedures may be included. The candidate should be skilled in accessing and managing ports, and administering chemotherapy and other medications. Strong communication skills to recognize and respond to abnormal lab values or treatment side effects are essential. The position requires good knowledge of immunotherapy and management of potential complications related to cancer treatments.
