Job Summary
Infusion Nurse (Specialty: Infusion) This outpatient infusion unit is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide chemotherapy, immunotherapy, antibiotic, biologic, and blood product administrations. The role includes central line maintenance, therapeutic phlebotomy procedures, and operating specialized equipment such as electronic medical record systems, IV pumps, and medication management tools. The position offers an opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment caring for patients with diverse acuity levels.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 9-hour shifts, with varied start times from 0730 to 1700, potentially extending to 1800. The workweek includes occasional weekends, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Oregon registered nurse (RN) license; BLS (AHA) certification; ONS/ONCC certification; minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including experience in IV therapy and chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration.
  • Experience in IV therapy with excellent IV skills.
  • Prior experience with chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration.
  • Preferred Qualifications: OCN certification.
  • Additional Information: The unit features 33 chairs and 2 private rooms, with plans to expand by 4 more chairs. Typical patient census ranges from 6 to 9 patients per day, depending on acuity. Training includes 2-3 days with a preceptor, followed by ongoing support from team members. Charting is conducted using EPICBEACON, and equipment includes ICU medical Plum 360 IV pumps, CADD CIV pumps, Omnicell, and patient transfer lifts. Flexibility to work every week with an on-call component, and adherence to mask protocols during flu season, is required.
