Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IV Suite Management Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day 8 Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday Experience: 2 years RN experience License: Current active RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Proficient in IV insertions Description: The position involves managing adult non-oncology infusion in an ambulatory setting. Nurses will float between two locations and will be notified the evening before their shift. The role requires peripheral intravenous insertion skills and peripheral blood drawing skills. Nurses must have the ability to access, maintain, and de-access central lines. Assessment skills for a variety of medical conditions are essential. Ongoing patient education is a critical component of the role. The infusion center operates in a relaxed setting focused on patient care. Nurses will continually monitor patients throughout their treatment. They must be prepared to intervene rapidly in emergent situations. Patients are released home at the end of their infusion. No weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts are required.
