We are actively seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Infection Control for a 26-week travel assignment in California. This is a full-time opportunity working day shifts (5 x 8-hour shifts per week) with competitive weekly pay.
The Infection Control RN will be responsible for leading and supporting infection prevention initiatives within an acute care setting. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain infection control policies and procedures
- Conduct routine facility-wide infection risk assessments and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor, track, and report infection data, trends, and outcomes
- Investigate infection cases and implement mitigation strategies
- Lead staff education and training on infection prevention protocols
- Ensure compliance with state and federal infection control regulations
- Collaborate with leadership and clinical teams to strengthen infection prevention programs
- Provide education to patients and families regarding infection control practices
- Maintain accurate documentation and surveillance reporting
