Job Opportunity – RN Infection Preventionist – Georgia

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Augusta, Georgia

Schedule: Full-time hospital-based position with routine departmental rounds and infection prevention activities

Highlights:

• Function as a key member of the infection prevention team supporting quality and safety initiatives
• Lead hospital surveillance activities to identify and track healthcare-related infections
• Participate in system-level policy and procedure development for infection prevention
• Conduct routine audits and physical rounds across facility departments including construction/renovation areas
• Provide education to patients and team members on infection prevention best practices
• Manage public reporting requirements for mandated healthcare-associated infections

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
• Experience in infection prevention, quality, or related clinical specialty preferred
• Strong knowledge of infection control practices, surveillance methodologies, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and education skills
• Ability to collaborate across departments and with system-level leadership
