Job Summary:
Infection Control Nurse, assigned to a healthcare facility in the United States of America, responsible for maintaining and monitoring infection prevention protocols. This role involves supporting epidemiology, surveillance, and data analysis activities aligned with regulatory guidelines and CDC standards. The position requires strong clinical and communication skills to ensure compliance and improve patient safety.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift; (5) 8-hour days on call as needed; shift hours are 8 per day; minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. RN Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN Registered Nurse with Multi-state Compact Certification. Certificate in Infection Control within 2 years. Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role and at least 1 year of experience in infection prevention. Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent teamwork and relationship building; demonstrated knowledge of epidemiology, surveillance, data collection and analysis; knowledge of Infection Prevention guidelines, OSHA, regulatory requirements, and CDC guidelines.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certificate in Infection Control within 2 years.
