Must-Have:
Professional background as an RN, MPH, Microbiologist, RT, or similarly qualified healthcare professional
Previous acute-care hospital Infection Prevention experience
Strong working knowledge of CDC/NHSN surveillance definitions and reporting requirements
Ability to independently perform surveillance, medical record review, and NHSN reporting
Description:
Candidates should have hands-on experience with Surgical Site Infection (SSI) surveillance, case review, and NHSN reporting.
Experience in High-Level Disinfection (HLD) practices, assessments, and infection prevention oversight is essential.
Knowledge of NHSN surveillance and data entry is required.
Experience with HAI surveillance, including CLABSI, CAUTI, C. difficile/LabID, MRSA bacteremia, and SSI is necessary.
Candidates must apply NHSN definitions to complex clinical cases.
Skills in identifying infection prevention risks and opportunities for improvement are needed.
Collaboration with procedural areas, nursing, physicians, Quality, Sterile Processing, and other clinical stakeholders is expected.
