Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Critical Care to join our team. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Notes

• 12-hour Day shifts
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Willingness to float to PCU as needed
• Weekend and Holiday coverage as required

Unit Information

• Unit Size: 20 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and care for critically ill patients.
• Utilize advanced monitoring techniques, including ventilator support, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Critical Care experience.
• Must be willing to float to PCU as needed.
• Experience with Vent, ICP Monitoring, and Hemodynamic Monitoring is required.
• Meditech Expanse experience is strongly preferred.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Active Massachusetts RN license is required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required.
• Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle.

Other Requirements

• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required.
