Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Travel Registered Nurses for an ICU Float Pool assignment in West Hollywood, California. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients across multiple intensive care units, including neurocritical care, respiratory failure, cardiac care, and transplant services.

This position requires strong critical-care assessment skills, experience managing complex patients, and the flexibility to float to other inpatient areas according to hospital needs. The nurse may be assigned to ICU units, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, PCU/Step-Down, overflow units, or PACU when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients.
• Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP/CPAP, and other respiratory support.
• Monitor hemodynamic status, arterial lines, central lines, and cardiac rhythms.
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips according to orders and facility protocols.
• Manage continuous IV sedation, neuromuscular blockade, emergency medications, and prescribed insulin protocols.
• Administer blood products and provide care for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Recognize clinical deterioration and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Provide care for patients with neurological, cardiac, respiratory, trauma-related, and transplant-related conditions within the assigned unit and scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection-prevention and patient-safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Float across ICU specialties and other assigned units according to hospital staffing needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Experience in a hospital with 400 or more beds.
• Active California RN license at the time of submission.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current NIHSS certification, as listed in the detailed requirements.
• Ability to pass the required EKG examination during the first day of orientation.
• Willingness to float to ICU and other designated inpatient units.
• Ability to meet the facility's weekend, holiday, and scheduling requirements.

Travel ICU Float Pool RN in West Hollywood, CA, for a 13-week night assignment requiring 2+ years of ICU experience in a 400+ bed hospital, an active California RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, EKG exam clearance, and flexibility to float across ICU and other inpatient units.
