Position Overview:

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for the ICU Float Pool. This position requires flexibility to float between ICU and lower-acuity areas, including MS/Tele, PCU, Step Down, Overflow, and Overflow PACU as needed.

This is a high-acuity float position and requires strong critical care experience, advanced clinical skills, and experience working in a large hospital environment.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU and other assigned units
• Monitor patients with complex and high-acuity medical conditions
• Perform comprehensive assessments and recognize changes in patient condition
• Manage complex IV medications, continuous infusions, and critical care therapies
• Perform cardiac monitoring and interpret EKG rhythms
• Provide care involving PA lines and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Safely administer medications and treatments according to hospital protocols
• Float to MS/Tele, PCU, Step Down, Overflow, Overflow PACU, and other assigned areas as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Prioritize care and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety protocols

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• NIH certification required
• PA Line experience required
• Swan-Ganz experience required
• Recent experience in a large hospital required
• First-time travelers are accepted if all other requirements are met
• Strong MS/Tele/PCU/Step Down experience preferred due to floating
