Travel RN – Medical ICU (MICU)
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Unit: Medical ICU (MICU)
Trauma Level: Level I Trauma Center
Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
EMR: Cerner
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill patients in the Medical ICU.
- Administer medications, IV drips, blood products, and titratable infusions.
- Monitor hemodynamic status and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Manage ventilated patients and collaborate with respiratory therapy.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and accurate documentation in Cerner.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care progression.
- Maintain compliance with unit protocols, safety standards, and infection prevention practices.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Recent ICU/MICU experience
- Experience with Cerner preferred
