Cardiothoracic Surgical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgical Nurse to join our dynamic team. This role involves working every other weekend with a rotating schedule between day and night shifts. Candidates must have significant experience in a similar setting, particularly in cardiothoracic surgery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic procedures.
  • Float between Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) as needed.
  • Utilize advanced cardiac devices such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and Impella.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing timely interventions when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Must possess 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Must have extensive experience in cardiothoracic surgery.
  • Current certifications in BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) are required.
  • Must have a minimum separation of 6 months from any previous employment with related organizations.

Additional Information

Orientation for this position occurs weekly, and any color scrubs are permitted. Candidates working through winter holidays should be prepared to fulfill two holiday shifts.
