- Required Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
- Responsibilities:
- Manage ventilated patients, cardiac post-PCI, and vascular cases
- Titrate standard ICU drips including vasoactive and sedative medications
- Support and collaborate with medical staff, including hospitalists and intensivists
- Read and interpret telemetry monitor strips accurately
- Support unit operations, including patient assessments, Foley care, IV management, bladder scans, and specimen collection
- Float between ICU and PCU patients as needed
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing thermaguard/Zoll cooling systems, EPIC electronic health record system experience
- Additional Information:
- Charge nurse role supports the entire unit without specific assignment
- CNA support staff ratio of 1:8
- In-house respiratory therapists available 24/7, managing vents and respiratory treatments
- Team-oriented culture with involvement in outdoor activities and unit interaction
