Critical Care Float Pool Nurse

Job Description

The Critical Care Float Pool Nurse is responsible for providing primary care to patients in the Emergency Room (ER) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU), while also being prepared to assist on other nursing units as needed. This position entails supporting various functions throughout different units, including but not limited to:

• Assisting with patient transport
• Monitoring telemetry
• Acting as a member of the rapid response and code blue teams
• Providing companionship and supervision for patients as necessary

This role requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts during evenings and nights, totaling 72-80 hours every two weeks. Holiday coverage is also a requirement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ER and ICU settings
• Current certifications in:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS/BCLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
