Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Globe, Arizona.

Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Information

Shifts will be from 7 PM to 7 AM, with call responsibilities required.

Minimum Experience Required

A minimum of 3 years of experience in critical care nursing is required.

Certifications

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Basic Life Support/Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/BCLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Unit Overview

The unit consists of six beds and provides comprehensive nursing care for various patients, including:

Post-surgical patients
Patients following cardiac catheterizations or percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
Individuals experiencing respiratory failure, sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), acute kidney injury (AKI), and unstable arrhythmias

Key Responsibilities

Initiating, titrating, and managing medications such as vasopressors, thrombolytics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and sedation
Managing ventilator support
Conducting hemodynamic monitoring
Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Implementing sepsis management protocols
Managing central lines and arterial lines
Overseeing chest tube care
Administering blood products

Medication infusion pumps
Rapid Infuser
Bedside cardiac monitors
Mechanical ventilators
BiPAP/CPAP machines
High-flow nasal cannula
Bladder scanner

Patient Ratios

Critical care: 2:1
Step Down: 4:1
Standard: 6:1

Additional Information

Ability to float to Med/Surg, Tele, Step-Down, and Observation floors as needed. Holiday coverage is required.
