ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent full-time equivalent Registered Nurse experience within the last 3 years
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active Registered Nurse license valid in Hawaii
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Recent experience in a cardiovascular intensive care, intensive care, progressive care, or intermediate care setting preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field preferred

CVICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients during 12-hour night shifts
• Assess patient conditions, identify changes in clinical status, and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
• Support advanced cardiovascular monitoring and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and organizational standards
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and evidence-based critical care nursing practices
• Provide education and support to patients and families as appropriate
