- Shift: 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend and every other holiday
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
- Unit Environment: 38-bed multispecialty ICU with a collaborative nursing team
- Float Requirement: May be asked to float to Med/Surg as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience in a multispecialty critical care setting such as CCU, SICU, MICU, Neuro ICU, or CT ICU
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Telemetry experience required, including the ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Successful completion of telemetry testing on day 1
- Nursing diploma, ASN, or BSN preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to manage electronic medical records and documentation
- Physical ability to meet the demands of a fast-paced ICU nursing role
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and educate patients throughout the care process
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities with interprofessional colleagues
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient records and clinical documentation
- Enter, review, and interpret computerized patient data and information
- Follow established nursing policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines
- Support quality improvement initiatives and assist leadership as needed
- Provide flexible support, including floating to Med/Surg when required
