ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This role requires a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The candidate will work 12-hour night shifts and be expected to commit to working every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and, as needed, float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring and assessing patient conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic systems.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
• Experience: 2-5 years of ICU experience mandated; experience in a Trauma Level I facility is preferred, but candidates from Trauma Level II settings may be considered.
• Previous travel experience in nursing roles is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record systems is required.
• Licensure: Current Massachusetts RN License is essential.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
• A tele test will be administered on the first day of assignment; a pass/fail outcome is mandatory to continue in the role.

Additional Information

Local candidates will not be considered for this role. Applicants must be separated from previous employment for a minimum of 6 months to be eligible.
