Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care in alignment with the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Nursing. Utilizing Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship-Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model, the RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for assigned patients. The RN collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote, maintain, and restore health. Care is tailored to the physiological, developmental, and psychosocial needs of patients, ensuring culturally competent and ethical practices within legal standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of acute care experience.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
  • Associate Degree or BSN accepted.
  • Active California RN License.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Experience with manual and automated information systems to improve efficiency and productivity.

Additional Information:

  • Accountable for meeting or exceeding unit and organizational goals related to patient satisfaction.
  • Responsible for investigating and resolving complaints from physicians, employees, and patients.
  • Completion of annual organizational requirements for employment.
  • Physical duties include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and fine motor skills.
