Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position is located in a healthcare facility offering acute care services. This critical care role involves managing patients in a high-acuity environment, including those recovering from surgery or experiencing complex medical conditions. The shift is scheduled for nights, with a commitment of 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, from October 26, 2026, through January 25, 2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour NIGHT shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit setting; valid license to submit; location requirements as specified
• Preferred Qualifications: CCRN and basic critical care course preferred
• Float: Float to Telemetry, Medical Surgical, and other units; float rotation may be required
• Additional Information:
  • Unit has 20 beds with patients primarily presenting with sepsis, DKA hyperglycemia, PN, COPD, PCI cardiac services, and CVA
  • Proficient in managing ventilators, including interpreting EKG strips
  • Must be comfortable with ABCDE bundle, ventilator management, and strong IV skills
  • No block scheduling or scheduling requests; assignment is a travel position with priority scheduling
  • Hospitalist and pulmonologist serve as intensivists; 24/7 support available

  • Charting system utilized is Cerner
