Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a valid DC RN license and at least 3 years of critical care experience for a 9-week hospital assignment.

Details

• Multidisciplinary ICU caring for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients
• 3x12 shift schedule with AM/PM rotation
• Utilizes advanced critical care technology including ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, CRRT, gastric tubes, and IV infusion pumps
• Cerner EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of prior hospital experience in the specialty required
• Cerner experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Perform a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements
• Candidates must be available to start within 7 days of offer with no pushed start dates allowed
• Rapid start position with expedited onboarding available for qualified candidates
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
