ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med-Surg nursing team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing a variety of acuity levels and healthcare needs.

Shift Information

This position requires work on a Day shift, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week from 06:30 to 19:00. There will be a weekend rotation and the expectation to work every other holiday. Standby call may also be required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across all acuity types.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage occasional ICU/PCU patients on the unit as necessary.
• Participate in patient assessments, treatment planning, and execution of care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection prevention measures.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in medical-surgical and progressive care units (PCU) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required (AHA only).
• Completion of a telemetry exam prior to the start of the assignment is mandatory.
• For first-time travelers, a minimum of 5 years of experience as a registered nurse is required.

Contract Information

There is a possibility to consider a 48-hour contract for candidates willing to work more weekends.
