Job Summary:
A staffing opportunity exists for an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) RN at a Level III Trauma Center located in Salem. The position involves providing specialized critical care to adult patients with various complex diagnoses and requires floating across Medical/Surgical units. This role supports a 20-bed ICU and offers rotating shifts with flexible scheduling options.

Job Details:

  • Position: ICU RN
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 11/15/2026 and ending 02/13/2027
  • Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts RN License, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, 2+ years of continuous ICU experience, Telemetry competency, minimum 2 years of adult ICU work experience, and ability to read telemetry strips.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level III Trauma Center ICU, proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.
  • Additional Job Details:
    • Float: Float rotation may be required across Medical/Surgical units, with up to 4 or 5 patients floated.
    • Patient Population: All adult patients, including those with diagnoses such as substance overdose, psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock.
    • Staffing Ratios: 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to other units.
    • Staffing requirements include attending physicians and residents available 24 hours.
    • EMR System: EPIC for charting and documentation.
