Job Summary
The ICU Nursing Professional in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a healthcare facility in New York is responsible for providing comprehensive critical care to patients with complex health needs. The role involves assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care, ensuring compliance with professional standards, and promoting patient-centered care within a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current New York State Registered Nurse License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross); at least 6 months to 3 years of Nursing experience, including experience with intensive cardiac patients (CHF, COPD, end-stage heart failure, cardiogenic shock, septic shock, GI bleeds, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and normothermia); graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing; CCRN certification; relevant skills certifications such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
- Additional Responsibilities: Demonstrates collaboration, communication, judgment/critical thinking, organizational understanding, planning, problem solving, and a focus on quality, reliability, safety, and risk management.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to perform all duties as assigned and actively participate in ongoing professional development and improvement initiatives.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
