Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in a healthcare organization located in the San Fernando Valley. This role involves providing coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The position requires supervising and directing the activities of various levels of nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines, and employing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.
Job Details
- Position Type: Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU specialty
- Location: San Fernando Valley area, working at a facility that offers comprehensive cardiovascular care and other services
- Certifications/Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the practice state required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute care facility experience
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Additional Information:
- Collects relevant data pertinent to patient health or situation
- Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues
- Develops, implements, and evaluates care plans to promote health and safety
- Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide safe, compassionate care
- Participates in discharge planning and delegates duties appropriately
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
