Noor Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Federal Way, Washington.

Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with holiday shifts based on department need
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Primary placement at St. Francis Hospital with required floating throughout Region One facilities as needed
• Additional $20 per hour when floated to a non-primary facility within Region I
• Float rotation with staff to department need within acute care and ER transition
• ICU nurse assignment maximum of 3 patients when floating
• Staffing ratios: 1:2 ICU and 1:3 stepdown
• 16-bed ICU unit
• Care for patients with diagnoses including post-STEMI cardiac cath intervention, sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, post-operative ICU level care, post-vascular surgical intervention, CHF, post-cardiac arrest, renal failure with hemodialysis and CRRT, post-stroke and TPA infusion, GI bleed, and substance and alcohol withdrawal management
• General Medical ICU experience required including sepsis management, targeted temperature management, and manual proning for intubated patients
• Experience with post-cardiac cath and PCI care (both radial and groin approach) and post-TPA infusion management for stroke preferred
• Required to titrate drips including Levophed, propofol, heparin, vasopressin, phenylephrine, insulin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, dexmedetomidine, furosemide, dopamine, and dobutamine
• Work with respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, high-flow, CPAP, BiPAP, and AVAPs
• Monitor tech on unit with telemetry strips to be verified by RN
• Charting system: EPIC (1 day of EPIC training provided if needed)
• 1-day orientation with educator for department and educational modules, plus 2 days of orientation in the department
• No scrub color requirement - clean, professional scrubs or attire required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Schedules published every 6 weeks with travelers added to the schedule post-publication
Facility:
This acute care facility operates a 16-bed ICU that treats both procedural/surgical and medical patients, allowing for a wide variety of clinical skills to be utilized. The unit maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy support and hospitalist coverage, with intensivist availability via virtual ICU after 7:00 PM and the ability for a provider to come on-site if needed. A dedicated charge nurse is assigned to the department, and a hospital supervisor is available between 11:00 PM and 7:30 AM. The facility is known for strong teamwork and a diverse patient population.
