Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care

We are seeking a highly qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Critical Care to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position involves providing advanced nursing care for critically ill patients and requires a strong ability to float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-level nursing care in critical care settings.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with a healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
• Assist in family consultations regarding patient treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Shift Notes

• 12-hour day shifts available with options for 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Will float to PCU as needed.
• Weekend and holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current critical care nursing experience.
• Willingness to float to PCU is required.
• Proficient in ventilator management, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Must possess a valid Massachusetts RN license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required.
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Additional Information

All candidates are required to have their Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License submitted with their application. A non-billable orientation period of 8 hours will be provided. Requests for time off must be submitted in advance and may not exceed five days.
