Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Tyler, Texas.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Shift: 12 hours, nights

Required qualifications

  • RN experience: 2 years preferred.
  • Travel experience:Required according to the submission requirements.
  • ICU experience: Must have experience appropriate for a Medical-Surgical ICU.
  • Charting:Epic experience is required.
  • Patient ratio experience: Approximately 1:2–1:3.
  • Patient population: Adults and geriatrics.
  • Ability to work nights: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
  • Weekend commitment: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period.

Required certifications

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS*
  • PALS*

*The posting marks NIHSS and PALS with an asterisk, so these may be specialty/unit-dependent, but they are listed under required certifications.

License requirements

  • Texas RN license or Compact RN license must be active and in hand at submission.
  • Pending license is not acceptable.
  • License hits are not accepted.

  • Travel/submission requirements

  • All RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed at submission.
  • Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
  • Core onboarding items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract.
  • Modules are completed onsite during orientation and are non-billable.

  • Orientation: 12 hours.

    Schedule

  • Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
  • 4 × 12-hour shifts.
  • 36- or 48-hour option.
  • Weekend coverage is required.
  • Patient ratio: approximately 1:2.
  • Floating may be required based on the schedule.
