ICU Travel RN – Breakdown

Position: ICU Registered Nurse
Shift:12-hour nights
Schedule:3 × 12-hour shifts/week
Hours:36 hours/week
Contract:8 weeks
Setting: Multidisciplinary ICU
Local Rule: Candidate must live at least 50 miles away from the facility.

Required

• Current RN license in the applicable state/district
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• 3 years of ICU experience – Required
• Cerner experience – Required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• BSN – Highly desired, not mandatory based on the posting

ICU Patient Population

This is a high-acuity, multidisciplinary ICU caring for:

• Neurological patients
• Neurosurgical patients
• Medical patients
• Surgical patients
• Pulmonary patients
• Cardiology patients
• Cardiothoracic patients
• Trauma patients

Required Clinical Skills / Equipment

The candidate should have experience with:

• Ventilators
• EVD/ventriculostomy
• Cardiac monitors
• Pulmonary artery catheters
• Arterial lines
• Central lines
• PICC lines
• IABP
• ECMO / TandemHeart
• Impella
• BIS monitoring
• Continuous pulse oximetry
• CRRT
• Gastric tubes
• IV infusion pumps
