• Required Qualifications: WA State / Compact RN Licensure; active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications; 1 year of ICU nursing experience; adherence to policies and standards including the Washington Nurse Practice Act; ability to float as a sitter.
• Coordinates and provides high-quality patient care in a caring and compassionate manner, utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice.
• Develops, implements, and reassesses patients individualized plan of care.
• Provides nursing care including medication administration, procedures, and treatments.
• Continually evaluates discharge plans for appropriateness, educational needs, and necessary changes.
• Documents assessments, care provided, interventions, and responses accurately.
• Collects patient information needed to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Performs holistic ongoing assessments and responds appropriately.
• Determines and executes appropriate nursing actions to meet care goals, addressing physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs.
• Educates patients and families with timely health information and written materials.
• Maintains current knowledge of workflows, evidence-based procedures, and hospital policies.
• Delegates and oversees care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Participates in performance evaluation and improvement processes.
• Communicates and collaborates effectively with all healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
