Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is based in a hospital setting. The role involves providing direct clinical care to critically ill patients, supervising staff, and supporting high standards of nursing practice. The position requires flexibility to float between care units including ICU, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), telemetry, and medical-surgical levels of care.

  • Location onboarding details: For Emergency Room/Emergency Department (ED), any solid color scrubs are acceptable; patient ratio is 1:4; the department has 29 beds and 27 monitors.
  • Address: 1150 N. Indian Canyon, Palm Springs, CA 92263, situated within the hospital.
  • Employees are to check into the front lobby and ask for the Human Resources department with security.
  • Parking: Employee parking lot available.
  • Timekeeping: Employees are responsible for clocking in and out.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, associated degree or diploma in nursing from an accredited program, familiarity with ICU or acute care settings, and 0+ years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Additional Information: The ICU/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing direct patient care on a per shift basis. The role includes supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated and supports the facility Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, staff competency, and resource management. The nurse must be prepared to float to various care units as needed, including ICU, PCU, telemetry, or Med-Surg levels of care.
