ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Information

This position involves working in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a focus on providing high-quality patient care. The RN will be expected to work 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM shifts, with a guaranteed weekly hours of 36 and weekend shifts for three weekends per schedule block.

Unit Information

• Trauma Level: Level 3
• Patient Ratios: 1:1-3 based on acuity
• Equipment: Ceiling lifts, hoyer lifts, sit to stand lifts, extensive safe-patient handling equipment, Baxter Sigma Spectrum IV Pumps
• EHR Systems: Omnicell, Cerner, SBAR

Patient Population

The RN will work with a diverse patient population, providing care for a range of conditions including:

• Sepsis
• Shock
• Multi-organ failure
• Respiratory failure
• Trauma and neuro/brain injuries
• Complicated surgeries
• Stroke
• Encephalopathy

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years required
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, RN License
• Must Have Skills/Experience: Trauma and neuro experience
• Float Requirements: Flexibility to float to areas such as CICU, Med-Surg, Telemetry, and Emergency Room as needed

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, demonstrate effective communication skills, and exhibit the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
