ICU/PCU Registered Nurse (RN)

Scheduling Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Details: 3x12s, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Charting System: EPIC experience required
• Floating: Staffing needs are re-evaluated every 4 hours, allowing floating 2-3 times per shift
• Weekend Requirement: May include every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week scheduling block
• Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per contract
• First-Time Travelers Accepted
• Local Candidates Accepted with a radius rule
• Please include all requests for time off and other scheduling preferences in your submission
• Call Off Policy: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks

Required License & Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required
• Pending licenses accepted for candidates with a single-state license from a non-compact state
• Active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license required for submission

Clinical Skills Required

• IV therapy: arterial line management, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, and IV initiation & maintenance
• Respiratory support: BiPAP & CPAP management, care for ventilated patients
• Medication administration: continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, and titration of cardiac & vasoactive drips
• Wound care: management of surgical wounds with drains or wound vacs
• Cardiac monitoring: dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Endocrine/metabolic care: adherence to IV insulin protocols
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience in a Large Level 1/2 Facility required

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) average nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1
